Each year, Music City Center hosts several events to support diverse businesses in the local community as part of its Diversity Business Enterprise program. All events are open to the public by reservation unless otherwise noted.

Small & Diverse Business Forum
This forum connects small and diverse-owned businesses to major companies and industry experts. Held in partnership with Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and First Horizon Bank, the annual event is designed to engage, educate, and empower DBE businesses through lectures and open discussions.
The Small & Diverse Business Forum is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Music City Center. The event will focus on Nashville conventions and concerts. It will also feature a supplier procurement fair. Registration is required. Cost includes sessions, lunch, and parking. Purchasing/DBE Appreciation Breakfast*
This breakfast is a reception for DBE partners currently doing business with Music City Center. It is an opportunity to reflect on the past year and preview the new year. The annual event also includes the announcement of the Music City Center Vendor of Excellence. In 2024, the award was presented to Kelsan, a family-owned, Knoxville-based company, offering facility supplies, packaging supplies, and equipment services and sales.
The Purchasing/DBE Appreciation Breakfast was held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Music City Center.

Construction Opportunities Conference
This workshop is for small and diverse businesses and engineering firms that want to do business with large prime contractors and government agencies. Held in partnership with Nashville Business Incubation Center and Tennessee APEX Accelerator (formerly Tennessee Procurement Technical Assistance Center), this event includes open discussions and workshops with industry experts.
The Construction Opportunities Conference was held Friday, September 27, 2024, at Music City Center.

Legacy Building Blueprint Workshop: Succession Planning
This free workshop is designed to guide small and diverse business owners through the process of creating a comprehensive succession plan. Held in partnership with US Bank, the workshop will feature interactive sessions and expert guidance to help attendees imagine, design, and execute a succession plan.
The Legacy Building Blueprint Workshop was held Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Music City Center.
DBE Certification Workshop
This workshop is for small and diverse businesses that need assistance with DBE certification. Held in partnership with the Governor's Office of Diversity Business Enterprise, this event will assist with the certification process and increase knowledge of procurement processes and procedures for the State of Tennessee and Music City Center.
The DBE Certification Workshop was held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. Participants could attend in-person at Music City Center or virtually. Registration was free to all participants.

Additional Training
- Proposal 101: This workshop is designed to bring clarity to the often-challenging requirements of the government procurement process by providing tips and resources from local and federal entities. In recent years, it has been held in conjunction with the Construction Opportunities Conference.
- Food & Beverage Seminar: This seminar offers in-depth information on what it takes to do business wit the Music City Center Food & Beverage Department.
