MUSIC CITY CENTER CELEBRATES TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Two years ago today the Music City Center opened its doors for the first time during the two-day Grand Opening celebration.
Since then, the Music City Center has hosted 620 events with 1.1 million attendees, generating 633,025 room nights for a total of $550.7 million in direct economic impact. The MCC has also hosted 118 local non-profit events and spent 48.66 percent of the operating budget with minority, women-owned and small businesses.
"These past two years have exceeded even our highest expectations and I'm incredibly proud of our team for the job they do every day," said Charles Starks, President/CEO of the Music City Center. "We are continuing to hear all positive feedback from our customers. They love the new building, they love being in Nashville and they can't wait to come back."

About the Music City Center
The Music City Center, Nashville’s convention center, features a 353,143 square foot exhibit hall, the 57,500 square foot Karl F. Dean Grand Ballroom, and an 18,000 square foot Davidson Ballroom. The building includes an art collection featuring local and regional artists, a covered three-level parking garage with 1,800 spaces, and is LEED Gold certified. The Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame is also located inside the Music City Center at the corner of 6th Avenue and Demonbreun.
