MUSIC CITY CENTER REPORTS STRONG THIRD QUARTER

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Music City Center announced today that the building generated over $90 million in economic impact in the last three months.
The Music City Center hosted 53 events with 120,222 attendees during the third quarter of fiscal year 2015. These events generated 86,374 room nights for a total of $90.3 million in economic impact. To date, the Music City Center has generated over $180 million in economic impact this fiscal year and is on track to greatly exceed last fiscal year's economic impact generated. Tax collections continue to outperform projections and the Music City Center portion of tax collections was up 32.12 percent year over year for January 2015.
"We are continuing to see record attendance with all of our larger groups," said Charles Starks, President/CEO of the Music City Center. "Almost all of these groups would not have been able to come here without the existence of the Music City Center and they all want to come back because their attendees love being here."

The Music City Center, Nashville’s convention center, features a 353,143 square foot exhibit hall, the 57,500 square foot Karl F. Dean Grand Ballroom, and an 18,000 square foot Davidson Ballroom. The building includes an art collection featuring local and regional artists, a covered three-level parking garage with 1,800 spaces, and is LEED Gold certified. The Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame is also located inside the Music City Center at the corner of 6th Avenue and Demonbreun.
