MUSIC CITY CENTER ANNOUNCES 2023 VENDOR OF EXCELLENCE
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Music City Center announced Green Resources Interior Landscaping as the 2023 Vendor of Excellence at the annual MCC Purchasing/Diversity Business Enterprise Appreciation Breakfast held Friday, December 15.
The Vendor of Excellence designation is awarded to a business partner who displays outstanding achievements in service and commitment to MCC and supports the DBE cause. Green Resources is a local, full-service interior landscaping company, offering both commercial and residential floral design, as well as convention and event plant services. Owners Petey and Leigh Richards accepted the award.
“Green Resources is so honored to have been selected,” said Leigh Richards. “This award would not have been possible without the entire team that we have in place helping us provide both interior landscaping and holiday décor to the center.”
“It’s fitting that Green Resources be recognized this time of year,” said MCC President and Chief Executive Officer Charles Starks, “not only for their work year-round but also for the beautiful displays they set up throughout the building during the holidays.”
The annual award is traditionally presented at the invitation-only breakfast for small and diverse businesses. The event is an opportunity to reflect on the previous year and preview the upcoming year as it relates to the DBE program, while thanking the facility’s contracted DBE vendors and suppliers for their trusted partnerships.
“These businesses are an asset to our facility and our community,” Starks said. “We work hard to support them, and we greatly appreciate the support they give us in return.”
In fiscal year 2023, a total of 27 small, minority-owned, women-owned, and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses participated in the DBE program, which accounted for more than 30% of all MCC contracted business for the year.
